On the 12th day of Christmas my true love gave to me …
Paper Clouds Apparel
A shirt company with a conscience.
Paper Clouds Apparel raises funding for special needs schools and organizations while showcasing the creative minds and artistic abilities of individuals with special needs. Social Entrepreneur, Robert Thorton, does this this by taking a piece of art an individual with special needs has created and transferring it to eco- and sensory-friendly bamboo shirts, high-quality prints and greeting cards. Fifty percent of the profit from all Paper Clouds Apparel goods sold is then given back to the special needs school/organization that created the art.
We give each special needs school and organization a two-week block in which we feature their art on our website. We currently have 16 special needs schools and organizations signed on as members of the Paper Clouds Apparel family. On January 7th we will be re-launching our new website and our first new project. That two weeks we will be teaming up with the Center for Autism and Related Disorders. In addition to the fifty percent we give back to the special needs schools and organizations, Paper Clouds Apparel hires individuals with special needs to package all of our shirts! So, we hope you all really like what we do and will open your hearts and wallets to some amazing individuals with special abilities.
One of Robert’s favorite holiday recipes is fennel, sausage and potato soup. Click the “Add to Recipe Box” button for the recipe and to save it to your recipe box!
